1. fall into desuetude (Standing orders – They occasionally fall into desuetude, but by the law and custom of parliament they are binding until their operation is concluded by another vote of the house upon the same matter – JBS 2. (of a law or law bill) lie dormant (Ship money – An ancient imposition that was charged upon the ports, towns, cities, boroughs and counties of the realm.
